First, there was a change in the system administration department of the Winnweiler Municipal Association Fire Department. David Walter, who had conscientiously served in this role for over two years, was relieved of his duties as system administrator due to a change of residence. We thank him for his work to date and are pleased that he will remain with us as a member of the Winnweiler Municipal Fire Department. Sebastian Hofstadt, who has been active with the Imsbach Volunteer Fire Department for many years, was appointed as his successor. He works in the IT field and thus brings the necessary expertise to the role. We thank him for his willingness to take on this additional volunteer responsibility.
In addition, a specialist advisor for CBRN hazards was appointed for the first time. This position involves an expert in hazardous-materials operations who possesses the necessary knowledge in the area of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear hazards. Anika Glaß-Theis was appointed to this role and, in addition to her active duty with the Imsbach Volunteer Fire Department, will now also assist the Winnweiler Municipal Fire Department with all matters related to hazardous materials. Among other things, she will also contribute to the ongoing training of her fellow firefighters in this highly complex field. Anika brings this technical expertise to the role thanks to her master’s degree in food chemistry. We thank her for her willingness to make this knowledge available to the Winnweiler Municipal Fire Department to help them handle relevant emergency situations.
