Turntable Ladder with Basket (DLAK 23/12)
Radio call sign: Florian Winnweiler 1/34-1
In the event of a fire, the turntable ladder’s primary task is to rescue people. If the primary escape route is blocked by smoke or fire, rescue through a window using the turntable ladder is often the only—and safest—option. Thanks to the stretcher, which can be attached to the basket, it is also possible to rescue people who are unable to walk.
In firefighting operations, the turntable ladder is typically used for larger fires, as the swivel nozzle mounted on the basket allows up to 1,600 liters of water per minute to be discharged onto the burning structure.
