Command Vehicle (KdoW)
Radio call sign: Florian Winnweiler 1/10-1
The vehicle serves as a shuttle for the Winnweiler Municipal Association’s command staff to incident sites and is available to them as part of a permanent on-call roster. It is also used as a service vehicle for the full-time fire department leadership. Thanks to its all-wheel drive, the vehicle can safely reach the scene of an emergency even in adverse road conditions and off-road. A hands-free radio system allows communication with other emergency responders during emergency calls without compromising driving safety. In addition to the emergency siren and the roof-mounted blue light, the special signaling system includes front flashing lights, blue flashing lights in the tailgate for securing the scene, a traffic warning system, perimeter lighting, and a public address system for warning announcements. All lighting elements utilize LED technology. The firefighting equipment also includes a small fire extinguisher, rescue tools, a handheld radio, personal protective equipment, and medical supplies for advanced first aid.
