Fire station
The Gonbach Volunteer Fire Department evolved from the joint fire department of the towns of Münchweiler and Gonbach, which was founded in 1873. In 1881, the fire departments split, making that year the founding year of the Gonbach Volunteer Fire Department.
Until 1962, the fire department had a hand-operated fire pump, which is still owned by the Gonbach Fire Department today. Since it began using motorized vehicles, the fire department has also been called upon to respond to incidents beyond the town limits.
