On Saturday afternoon, the Imsbach, Münchweiler, and Winnweiler fire departments were dispatched to a traffic accident of unknown nature on the L 392 between Imsbach and Alsenbrück-Langmeil. However, the Imsbach Fire Department personnel who responded were unable to locate a traffic accident in the affected section, so they drove in the opposite direction toward Falkenstein while other vehicles searched the area around Alsenbrück-Langmeil.

The incident was ultimately located at the intersection of the L 392 and the K 37 in the direction of Falkenstein. When the Imsbach Fire Department arrived, the ambulance, the Christoph 66 rescue helicopter, and a first responder vehicle from the Münchweiler branch of the German Red Cross (DRK) were already on the scene. A car had collided with a motorcycle.

While the emergency medical services assessed the individuals involved, firefighters initially secured the accident scene against oncoming traffic, ensured fire safety, and absorbed spilled fluids using oil absorbent. The motorcyclist and the driver of the car were classified as “green” (minor injuries) and, after receiving first aid, were transported to an appropriate hospital for further evaluation. The police were on the scene with a patrol car and documented the accident. After the accident report was completed, the fire department began clearing debris and oil absorbent from the roadway.

During the incident, two towing companies were contacted to remove the vehicles involved in the accident. The road authority was also contacted due to the spilled fluids, to place appropriate warning signs for road users. After one of the two vehicles involved in the accident was towed away, the scene was handed over to the police.
