The Münchweiler and Winnweiler fire departments were called to a routine rescue operation because a three-year-old child was locked inside a vehicle in Münchweiler and the key was inside.
The situation was confirmed on the scene. The child’s mother was there, and the child was very calm despite the circumstances, so the responders first attempted a non-destructive opening. They were able to fish the key out through a window using a wire, allowing them to reopen the car without causing any damage.
