Report
The Winnweiler Fire Department was alerted to a fuel leak from a passenger car in Hochstein. Consequently, the HLF 1 was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found a vehicle from which diesel fuel was leaking due to a malfunction. A distinct diesel stain was already visible beneath the stationary vehicle, and the vehicle had also left a trail along the road. The responders immediately absorbed the fuel near the vehicle using a binding agent and sprayed the trail with a neutralizing agent. They also notified the public works department to set up appropriate warning signs for road users.
The vehicle was then returned to its owner, who arranged for a towing company on his own.
