Report
The fire departments of Winnweiler, Göllheim, and Enkenbach were dispatched to a traffic accident of unknown nature on the A 63 in the direction of Mainz, between the Winnweiler and Göllheim interchanges. The control center provided the crews with additional information indicating that a motorhome might be involved.
The Winnweiler Fire Department was subsequently dispatched to the scene but was unable to locate an accident site in the reported area. Meanwhile, the Göllheim Fire Department checked the opposite lane in the direction of Kaiserslautern but was also unable to find anything. The Enkenbach Fire Department initially remained on standby near the Winnweiler exit.
It later turned out that the highway patrol had found parts of a solar power system for RVs at the reported accident site, which were presumably the reason for the emergency call. The firefighters were therefore able to call off the operation.
