The Falkenstein, Imsbach, and Winnweiler units were dispatched to a traffic accident of unknown nature on the K 37 near Falkenstein. Through the dispatch center, the responders received additional information that the call was an iPhone emergency call with no voice contact.
Upon arrival at the scene, it turned out that a passerby had found the cell phone and a wallet, but the owner could not be located. Shortly thereafter, however, the owner contacted the dispatch center and explained that he had lost the items there, but that there had been no accident; rather, the emergency call had been triggered simply by the cell phone hitting the ground. The valuables were subsequently handed over to the police. The firefighters were able to conclude the call without taking any action.
