The Steinbach, Börrstadt, Dannenfels, and Winnweiler units were dispatched to a traffic accident with an unclear situation in Steinbach. The first vehicle from the Steinbach Fire Department to arrive on the scene found a motorcyclist who had been in an accident and sustained minor injuries; there were no other people involved in the accident.
The motorcyclist was cared for by medically trained fire department personnel until the ambulance arrived and was then handed over to the ambulance crew. The accident scene was secured against oncoming traffic for the duration of the response. Shortly thereafter, the patient was transported by the emergency medical services to an appropriate hospital for further treatment. After the police completed their accident report, the road closure was lifted and the operation was concluded.
The units from Börrstadt, Dannenfels, and Winnweiler did not need to take action and were able to stand down.
