The Imsbach and Winnweiler units were alerted after passersby found a roe deer that was stuck in a railing. Upon arrival, the firefighters determined that the animal had sustained a serious injury while trying to free itself. Consequently, the responsible hunting leaseholder was notified, and he put the roe deer out of its misery. No further action by the fire department was necessary.
