The Schweisweiler and Winnweiler fire departments, as well as the Fall Protection Unit (ASG), were initially dispatched to assist emergency medical services with a person who had fallen in the wilderness in Schweisweiler. In addition to the ground-based emergency medical services, the rescue helicopter (RTH) Christoph 66, which is equipped with a rescue winch, was also dispatched. It was the first to arrive at the scene and reported that the person in question was already sitting by the road, so a rescue from the terrain was not necessary. Consequently, no action was required on the part of the fire department, and the operation was concluded promptly.
