On the L 448 between Lautersheim and Biedesheim, a school bus had skidded on the slippery road and come to a stop in the roadside ditch. The Donnersberg District drone unit was initially called in to provide support and proceeded to the staging area. It turned out that everyone involved was unharmed. The drone unit was able to conclude the operation shortly thereafter without taking any further action.
The Göllheim municipal emergency response team secured the scene against oncoming traffic. After all passengers had been taken to the nearby community hall to await pickup, the firefighters pulled the bus out of the ditch and finally handed the scene over to the road maintenance department.
