An oil spill spanning approximately 200 to 300 meters was reported in Alsenbrück-Langmeil, prompting the Imsbach and Winnweiler units to respond to the scene. Upon arrival, it became apparent that the oil trail extended over a significantly longer stretch of more than one kilometer and was still visible in some areas outside the town limits. Consequently, the municipal maintenance crew and the road maintenance department were called in to set up appropriate warning signs. Firefighters absorbed the oil with a binding agent and subsequently cleaned up the road.
During the course of the emergency response, the person responsible contacted the emergency responders on their own initiative. The police were also at the scene.
