On the A 63, in the direction of Mainz between the Winnweiler and Göllheim interchanges, a single-vehicle accident occurred involving a passenger car that had rolled over. The Winnweiler Fire Department’s rescue unit, along with an ambulance and the police, responded to the scene. The drive to the scene alone presented some challenges for the emergency responders due to the snow-covered road.
Upon arrival at the scene, it became clear that the driver of the crashed vehicle had already managed to free himself from the car and was being treated by emergency medical services. The car was lying on its roof on the grassy shoulder, but no fluids were leaking from it. Shortly after the fire department arrived, the next call came in regarding a traffic accident on the B 48 (H004). The police secured the accident scene on the highway, allowing the fire department’s vehicles to proceed to the next incident location.
