B 261 - Fire Alarm System in Sippersfeld

Incident Number:B 261
Date:04.11.2026
Alarm time:06:04
End of operation:07:12
Incident keyword:Fire Alarm System (FAS)

Report

While the public works department was on call, an alarm from the fire alarm system at a special facility in Sippersfeld was received. The public works department employee notified the Integrated Control Center (ILS) and then drove to the scene herself. The ILS alerted the units in Sippersfeld, Breunigweiler, and Winnweiler.

The public works department was already on site when the Sippersfeld Fire Department arrived and was able to grant the firefighters access to the building. Since the number of the triggered alarm could no longer be identified on the system’s control panel, all rooms—including the building’s roof truss—were inspected. The firefighters detected neither fire nor smoke. While the search was underway, the municipal maintenance department contacted a technician, who subsequently arrived at the scene. After the technician read the system’s data, it was confirmed that a technical malfunction had triggered the alarm. The operation was then concluded.
