Report
The Falkenstein, Imsbach, and Winnweiler fire departments were called to respond to smoke developing outdoors in a wooded area near Falkenstein. Upon arrival, the firefighters found burned leaves and smoldering branches covering an area of approximately 15 m², which were still producing a slight amount of smoke.
The firefighters thoroughly extinguished the area using a C-hose and employed so-called wildfire hoes to loosen the soil and thus prevent the fire from spreading underground. After the police took a report on the incident, the operation was concluded.
