Report
A wildfire broke out between the L 401 and the A 63; it was initially reported near the village of Standenbühl. It later turned out that the scene of the fire was actually in the Winnweiler municipal association, in the Theresienhof area.
Emergency responders initially closed the L 401 completely and began firefighting operations. As the situation developed, they gained access to the A 63 by opening the wildlife fence to also fight the embankment fire there. A total of two C-hoses, three D-hoses, and the roof monitors on the tanker fire trucks were deployed. The fire was thus brought under control promptly. One vehicle was positioned to provide an early warning to motorists on the A 63.
A total area of approximately 200 m² was affected. As part of the follow-up firefighting efforts, the entire area was thoroughly doused with water once again. The drone unit also flew over the area using a thermal imaging camera, enabling the targeted extinguishing of hot spots. Since a cell tower was located on the burned area and had sustained minor damage, the responsible network operator was notified. The police were also present at the scene.
