The drone unit was called in to assist with a fire at an outbuilding in Winterborn in the Nordpfälzer Land administrative district. An unoccupied building at the edge of the forest was on fire. The response teams were able to support their operations by providing an aerial overview of the situation. In addition, the building and its immediate surroundings were checked for hot spots using a thermal imaging camera, allowing for targeted mop-up operations.
