The WLF, equipped with a water supply roll-off container, and the drone unit were called in to assist with a wildfire near Sitters in the Nordpfälzer Land municipal association. While the crews were en route, the first vehicle to arrive reported that the fire involved burning vegetation covering an area of about 300 m² and that farmers had already taken initial steps to contain it.
The fire was brought under control quickly, and mop-up operations began. The units from the Winnweiler municipal association were no longer needed and were able to stand down.
