The Integrated Control Center (ILS) received a report of smoke in the area of the A 63, which the caller had seen from a distance. As a result, the units in Winnweiler, Lohnsfeld, and Wartenberg-Rohrbach, as well as the TLF in Imsbach, were alerted.
The Lohnsfeld unit was dispatched to investigate, as emergency responders already suspected that the smoke was caused by asphalt work on the A 63. This suspicion was confirmed, so no fire department response was necessary.
