Report

The fire departments in Winnweiler, Imsbach, and Münchweiler were called to a small wildfire along the L 392 between Imsbach and Alsenbrück-Langmeil. According to the initial report, approximately five square meters were burning along the roadside.

The first responders from the Imsbach Fire Department reported that approximately 10 m² of grassy area next to the road was on fire and immediately began firefighting operations. The rapid-response capability of the tanker fire engine was deployed for this purpose. The fire was thus brought under control within a very short time. The multi-purpose fire engine (MLF) from the Münchweiler Fire Department, which arrived shortly afterward, then assisted with the mop-up operations. The vehicles from the Winnweiler Fire Department were able to abort their response.

It turned out that passersby had spotted the fire and were able to contain its spread until the fire department arrived, preventing it from spreading to the grain field right next to it.
