The Donnersbergkreis drone unit was called in to assist with a building fire in Bolanden. Once on the scene, the crew deployed the drone, equipped with a thermal imaging camera and a zoom camera, to assess the extent of the fire’s spread from the air and monitor the effectiveness of the firefighting efforts. The fire’s spread to the adjacent building was prevented by the actions of the fire departments from the municipalities of Kirchheimbolanden and Göllheim.
As part of the mop-up operations, a drone equipped with thermal imaging was deployed to check the burned building for hot spots. Once no dangerous temperatures were detected, the unit concluded its operation.
