On Sunday at noon, a small brush fire was reported at the entrance to Potzbach, prompting the dispatch of fire departments from Lohnsfeld, Imsbach, Wartenberg-Rohrbach, and Winnweiler. Upon arrival, the Lohnsfeld Fire Department determined that the fire consisted only of embers left over from the previous evening’s winter burning. These were subsequently spread out and thoroughly extinguished. The operation was then concluded.
