A caller reported to the Kaiserslautern Integrated Control Center (ILS) that he had observed a glow and smoke coming from the Potzbach area while in Imsweiler. As a result, the fire departments in Lohnsfeld, Wartenberg-Rohrbach, and Winnweiler were alerted. Shortly after the alarm was issued, it became clear that this was the reported winter burning in Potzbach and, consequently, no fire department response was necessary.
