The Falkenstein, Imsbach, and Winnweiler fire departments were dispatched to a chimney fire in Imsbach. Upon arrival, the firefighters inspected the chimney and discovered burning soot inside, prompting them to call in a chimney sweep. They also checked the inspection hatches for heat and swept the chimney. In addition, the police were called to the scene.
After consulting with the chimney sweep, the scene was handed over to the owners a short time later, as no further action was required at that time. The firefighters then concluded their operation.
