The Steinbach, Börrstadt, and Winnweiler fire departments were dispatched to a brush fire in Steinbach. Shortly thereafter, a public works employee informed the Fire Department Operations Center (FEZ) that it was very likely a pre-authorized fire and that he had also been on site recently.
The Steinbach and Börrstadt units nevertheless responded to the scene to investigate. Once there, it turned out that the fire had indeed been reported and had already been partially extinguished by the owner. The firefighters then used a C-hose to help thoroughly extinguish the burning material. The fire department’s operation was then concluded.
