The Lohnsfeld and Winnweiler fire departments were called to an emergency door-opening situation in Potzbach because family members were concerned about the patient’s health and were unable to reach him. However, by the time the emergency responders arrived, the door had already been opened. The person was found dead.
Firefighters provided support to the family members at the scene and waited for the ambulance service and the police to arrive. No further action was required on the part of the fire department.
