Report
A traffic accident at the outskirts of Standenbühl was reported to the dispatch center via a vehicle’s E-Call system. The incident location was thus within the territory of the Göllheim municipal association. However, due to the geographical proximity, the MLF (medium-sized fire engine) from the Sippersfeld Fire Department is routinely dispatched first, as it is equipped with the necessary technical rescue equipment.
Upon arrival at the scene, it became clear that this was a single-vehicle accident in which a car had veered off the road due to a broken rim. The driver had managed to free himself from the vehicle and appeared to be uninjured. He was cared for by the fire department until the ambulance arrived and was then handed over to them. The Sippersfeld Fire Department initially assisted in securing the scene against oncoming traffic but was able to stand down shortly thereafter, as the Göllheim Municipal Association’s personnel were sufficient to handle the situation.
