The Sippersfeld and Winnweiler fire departments were called to a water main break in Sippersfeld. Upon arrival, the Sippersfeld fire department determined that water was already gushing onto the street and secured the area to prevent traffic from passing through. In addition, the water utility’s on-call crew was summoned. The water utility responded to the scene and shut off the affected water main. Due to the damage to the road caused by the leaking water, the public works department was also called to the scene. They completely closed the affected section of the road for the time being.

Since the water main could not be repaired until the next day at the earliest, the water utility set up a fire hydrant as an emergency water supply for the affected residents. The fire department informed the residents of this measure and then concluded its operation.
