A traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred at the intersection of the L 401 and the L 390, prompting the Lohnsfeld and Winnweiler units to respond to the scene.
At the scene, emergency responders first secured the accident site from oncoming traffic and temporarily closed the L 401 completely. Each vehicle had only one occupant, and both appeared to be uninjured. Subsequently, the vehicles were inspected using their respective rescue cards, as they were hybrid vehicles. In addition, leaking fluids were contained, and debris was cleared from the roadway.
Once the police had completed their accident investigation, the vehicles were repositioned so that traffic on the L 401 could be reopened in one direction. The Lohnsfeld unit took over security duties until the tow truck company arrived.
