On the B 48 between Hochstein and Schweisweiler, a truck’s hydraulic hose had burst, prompting the Schweisweiler unit to respond to the scene due to leaking fluids. Upon arrival, the firefighters met with a contact person who explained that the truck’s burst hose had already been repaired. The areas of the roadway contaminated with hydraulic oil had already been treated with absorbent material, and the road authority was also on site. After consulting with the road authority, the fire department determined that no action was necessary, so the crew returned to the station shortly thereafter.
