On Wednesday afternoon, a rear-end collision occurred directly in front of the Winnweiler Fire Department’s station, which was witnessed by firefighters. Consequently, the firefighters secured the accident scene with a vehicle. The emergency medical services, which were also stationed at the fire station, provided care to those involved. In addition, the firefighters contained any leaking fluids.
After the emergency medical services assessed the individuals involved and determined they were uninjured, the two cars were moved to the shoulder and the road was cleared of debris so that it could be reopened to traffic. Shortly thereafter, the police arrived to investigate the accident.
