A traffic accident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred on the B 48 near the exit for Münchweiler an der Alsenz. The Winnweiler and Münchweiler units were dispatched to the scene and first secured the area against oncoming traffic.

The individuals involved were three occupants of the car, who sustained minor injuries or none at all (category green), and a motorcyclist, who sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries (category yellow). The motorcyclist and one passenger in the car were each transported by ambulance to an appropriate hospital. A rescue helicopter was also on the scene.

After the police had finished documenting the accident, firefighters began cleaning the roadway. A towing company was also called in, as the car was no longer drivable. Due to spilled fluids, the road authority was also notified of the incident. Once the work was completed, the road was reopened to traffic, and the fire department concluded its operation.
