A traffic accident involving a truck and a car occurred at noon in Börrstadt, prompting the fire departments of Börrstadt, Sippersfeld, Steinbach, and Winnweiler to be dispatched. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders found the car on its side in the roadside ditch, while the truck was blocking the roadway.

The driver of the car was able to free herself from her electric vehicle on her own and appeared to be uninjured, but was nevertheless examined by emergency medical personnel. The truck driver also appeared to be uninjured and did not require medical attention. Emergency responders first secured the accident vehicles against fire and disconnected the electric vehicle’s power supply. At the same time, the L401 was completely closed to traffic in both directions.

The police were at the scene to investigate the accident and arranged for a tow truck. As the operation progressed, it became clear that the driver of the electric vehicle had not sustained any injuries and therefore did not need to be transported to a hospital. Firefighters cleared debris from the roadway and lifted the full road closure after the truck was no longer blocking the street and the ambulance had left the scene. The police secured the car until the tow truck arrived, allowing the fire department to conclude its operation once the cleanup was complete.
