A water main broke in Wartenberg-Rohrbach that evening, prompting the Wartenberg Fire Department to be alerted and dispatch to the scene. Upon arrival, it became clear that large amounts of water were leaking, so the firefighters decided to use sandbags to protect the adjacent buildings. At the same time, the water utility and the public works department were called in, as the road in the affected area had already begun to sink. Subsequently, the water utility was able to cut off the defective pipe. The public works department continued to secure the hazardous area. The fire department was then able to conclude its operation.
