Report
A report was received that a gas grill was on fire on a patio at the Röderhof, and the fire was already threatening to spread to the shelter. Consequently, the fire departments from Börrstadt, Steinbach, and Winnweiler were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival at the scene, it became apparent that initial firefighting efforts had already been undertaken using a dry chemical extinguisher, which had prevented the fire from spreading further. The firefighters deployed a C-hose to combat the blaze and were thus able to bring the fire under control promptly. As part of the mop-up operations, the burning material was thoroughly extinguished and inspected with a thermal imaging camera to rule out the possibility of reignition. Afterward, the scene was handed over to the tenant. The police were also present at the scene.
