Due to a smoldering fire in the wiring of an oven, the Winnweiler Fire Department was called to the scene for a post-fire inspection. Upon arrival, firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to determine that the fire had already been extinguished, as no heat was emanating from it. To rule out any further risk of the fire reigniting, the oven’s electrical system was disconnected from the power supply. The owner was also informed that repairs and subsequent restoration to service should only be performed by qualified personnel.
