In the Mühlberg Tunnel near Imsweiler, the fire alarm system had been triggered, whereupon the appropriate units from the municipalities of Nordpfälzer Land and Winnweiler were alerted in accordance with the Alarm and Deployment Procedures (AAO). Shortly thereafter, it became clear that a technician was already on site and that it was a false alarm, whereupon all personnel were able to stand down.
