After the fire crew left the scene in Börrstadt (B 180), the fire flared up again about three hours later in a hard-to-reach area of the roof. A police patrol noticed this and subsequently notified the Integrated Control Center (ILS), which once again alerted the fire department. Upon arrival, the firefighters determined that the fire had reignited in an area of approximately 2 m² within the roof structure. Consequently, they continued to remove and extinguish the fire while wearing breathing apparatus until nearly the entire roof area had been removed. Small amounts of foam were used as a wetting agent to achieve a deep-penetrating extinguishing effect. The German Red Cross (DRK) standby ambulance (Münchweiler chapter) was also on site again to ensure the safety of the emergency personnel.

At 8:30 a.m., the command vehicle and the TLF 4000 arrived at the scene for a follow-up inspection and determined that light smoke was still visible. Consequently, the building was doused once more with 4,000 liters of water and approximately 10 liters of foam.
