Report
A brush fire was reported on the K 39 between Alsenbrück-Langmeil and Sippersfeld, prompting the Sippersfeld, Breunigweiler, and Winnweiler fire departments, as well as the tanker trucks from the Steinbach and Imsbach fire departments, to respond to the scene.
Smoke was already visible on the way to the scene, and the alarm report was confirmed upon the arrival of the first fire engine from Winnweiler. The firefighters immediately began extinguishing the fire using a C-hose, thereby preventing it from spreading further into the adjacent forest. Subsequently, extensive mop-up operations were carried out, and a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera was used to check for possible hot spots. In addition, the responsible forest ranger was notified of the incident. The police were also present at the scene.
