The fire alarm system had been triggered in the recently opened Mühlberg Tunnel in the Nordpfälzer Land municipal association. In response to this alert, the Schweisweiler unit, as well as the HLF 2 and the swap-body vehicle from the municipality of Winnweiler, were dispatched for support in accordance with the alarm and deployment procedures. Shortly after arriving at the scene, the Schweisweiler unit reported that, according to a technician on site, it was a false alarm. The fire department was therefore able to stand down.
