The Lohnsfeld, Wartenberg, Imsbach, and Winnweiler fire departments were dispatched to a reported wildfire in Potzbach. Upon arrival, it became clear that the fire was burning in the underbrush over an area of 10 to 15 square meters.
The firefighters quickly began extinguishing the fire using a C-nozzle and brought it under control. As part of the follow-up firefighting efforts, a tree stump was cut up with a chainsaw and the area was covered with foam to ensure the fire was thoroughly extinguished and to prevent it from reigniting. The police were also at the scene.
