A “large wildfire” was reported between Ramsen and Göllheim this afternoon, which is why the drone unit and the swap-body vehicle (WLF) equipped with a water supply roll-off container were dispatched as part of the initial response. It soon became clear that the fire covered an area of only 50 m², which the on-site crews were able to extinguish quickly. Consequently, the WLF was able to stand down, but the drone unit proceeded to the scene nonetheless and supported the mop-up operations by using a thermal imaging camera from the air to locate any remaining hot spots.
