In Börrstadt, a car had caught fire on a dirt road, prompting the fire departments of Börrstadt, Steinbach, and Winnweiler to be alerted. The first responders from the Börrstadt Fire Department were able to confirm the incident report promptly and immediately began firefighting operations. The Winnweiler Fire Department, which arrived shortly thereafter, assisted them, and the fire was brought under control a short time later, with no risk of it spreading to the surrounding vegetation.
The vehicle was then inspected using a thermal imaging camera. Since elevated temperatures were still detected in some areas, the car was sprayed with foam to ensure thorough extinguishment and prevent reignition. After taking additional temperature readings, the fire was finally declared out. Finally, a towing company was called to remove the vehicle, and the scene was handed over to the police.
