The Donnersbergkreis drone unit was dispatched to provide support in response to a reported roof truss fire in Rittersheim (Kirchheimbolanden Municipal Association).
It turned out that a photovoltaic system on the roof had caught fire, but it had already been extinguished by the time emergency responders arrived. Nevertheless, the drone unit was subsequently able to assist in inspecting the modules using a thermal imaging camera and to take pictures of the damaged parts for documentation purposes.
