According to the caller, on Saturday evening he noticed a glow from a fire in the woods near Münchweiler while at the Wäschbacherhof and subsequently alerted the fire department.
The emergency crews conducted a wide-area search but were unable to locate any fire in the Münchweiler area or its surroundings. Shortly thereafter, it became clear that the glow had come from a bonfire at a festival in Potzbach. The command vehicle (ELW 1) of the Winnweiler Fire Department drove to the scene and determined that there was no danger, so all units were able to stand down.
