Report
In Winnweiler, the fire alarm system had been triggered in a residential complex, prompting the Winnweiler Fire Department to respond with a fire engine. The fire departments of Imsbach, Lohnsfeld, and Münchweiler were also alerted, as were the Fire and Disaster Protection Inspector (BKI) and the Health Operations Section Command. This was because the incident site was a special-status facility.
During an extensive on-site investigation, it was quickly determined that a detector had been exposed to water vapor and had triggered as a result. Consequently, there was no danger to the residents, and the site was returned to the operator after the system was reset.
