A residential building caught fire in Kirchheimbolanden. One resident was seriously injured in the blaze. Despite the fire department’s rapid response, the building could not be saved; however, the firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading further.
Firefighting efforts proved difficult because the fire spread rapidly throughout the entire building and had already reached the roof, part of which collapsed. The presence of stored weapons, weapon parts, and ammunition further complicated the operation, which is why the fire department was only able to fight the fire from the outside.
The incident command team was supported by the drone unit, which helped assess the situation and document it. In addition, the swap-body vehicle equipped with a water cannon was deployed.
