The Winnweiler Fire Department was initially alerted to provide support in response to a reported building fire in Rockenhausen, in accordance with the Alarm and Deployment Regulations (AAO). The firefighters responded to the scene with a fire engine and an aerial ladder truck. Once on site, it quickly became clear that the fire was merely burning paper in the building’s basement and that no one was left inside the building. Consequently, the situation was handled by the Nordpfälzer-Land Municipal Association’s fire department. The Winnweiler Fire Department personnel returned to the station without taking any action.
